Grounding tree hugging hippies

in health •  7 years ago  (edited)

I am not sure where or when I heard the story of a Doctor and her first born baby. The baby would not settle and was continually listless and upset. One day the poor rattled bare footed mother stepped outside to her back yard in an attempt to settle the infant. In no time the baby settled. She fed the baby outside without a problem. As soon as she went indoors the baby fussed. That got this Doctor curious. She went on to do more research about the electron transfer that takes place between mother nature and mankind.

Consider and appreciate if you will that you are a bioelectrical being living on this huge electrical planet. Your cells transmit frequencies that are involved in your heart, muscles, nervous system and immune system. Some type of electron transfer occurs right down in the mitochondria of the cell.

Without getting too technical, DNA damaging free radicals contain unpaired electrons. Antioxidants we consume work to stop free radicals by donating an electron to the unpaired free radical electron, thus neutralizing them.

Free radicals are linked to all types of dis-eases, inflammations and cancers in the body.

Immunology and molecular toxicology studies have found - "Mounting evidence suggesting that the Earth's negative potential can create a stable internal bioelectrical environment for the normal functioning of all body systems. Moreover, oscillations of the intensity of the Earth's potential may be important for setting the biological clocks regulating diurnal body rhythms, such as cortisol secretion.
It is also well established that electrons from antioxidant molecules neutralize reactive oxygen species (ROS, or in popular terms, free radicals) involved in the body's immune and inflammatory responses." (source)

Back in the days before we wore synthetic shoes and clothes we wore animal skins and went barefoot. We slept on an animal skin which was laid on the ground. We had direct connection with the earth which gave our whole body the opportunity to receive these electrons in all organs and tissues. The transfer of these electrons occurred uninhibited.

Swimming in the ocean or standing on bare earth with bare feet, even tree hugging skin to bark can benefit nearly all conditions. How much each person requires is unique and only something that can be determined by the way you feel, so treatment recommendations is very individual. There are contraindications that should be mentioned – like if you are on blood thinners (grounding and lying on the earth has been shown to thin the blood) and if there is a lightning storm the area.

A journey to good health needs a balanced approach. We need to incorporate grounding (or earthing) and it is definitely a practice we should encourage to assist ourselves and others regain and or maintain their health. Find those natural shoes, take time to go barefoot in the grass, swim in the ocean, don’t be in such a hurry to put those synthetic shoes and clothes on, go outside and take in that energy. Rediscover that hippie in you.

As always

I've been going barefoot outside less of late for fear of what I'll tread on or burning my feet! Maybe I should again now the weather is cooling. Does getting your hands on the ground count I wonder? I've often got them in the soil.

Just walk around your own garden barefoot. I am sure any contact with the earth would be beneficial but I know the feet have the ability to absorb all sorts!

That's a very interesting post.

I hate living in the west (from the UK), and it gets me down.

When live in Asia, I don't have that problem. I put it down to sunshine, tbh.

Maybe its because I don't wear shoes for more than 4 hours a week here, and stay in touch with the planet?...mmmm.(and socks now feel very weird!lol)

Interesting..

Thanks lucylin.
It is amazing what good old sunshine can do for us and really, who needs socks and shoes anyway!

One thing I have noticed - when living inthe west - we had a power cut hwere i was living - and I knew . (there were no lights on or anything).

The air felt different, is the only way I can explain it.

Here in Asia, we get power cuts very regularly (so annoying for the internet, but hey).

I can say - quite scientifically - that my sensitivity to electricity is very real.

Makes you wonder how wi fi and the electromagnetic frequencies are impacting our health...

Why thank you @sandalphon that is very generous of you.

Can I just go to the tree museum and pay $1.50 to see them?

Nope! But maybe you won't yell at the hippies to get off your lawn in future 😁
