Is Self-Care a Radical Act?

What do you think? If you read this, is your first reaction yes!!! Of course, it is!! Or are you thinking, what is she talking about? I practice self-care all the time.

That first reaction gives a pretty good clue about where you are at in that journey called life.

In this podcast with Brodie Welch, I am sharing with you, we talk a lot about women having a hard time to put themselves first. Often, that feels like being selfish. We as women are still, even today in our "modern" society, trained to be caretakers. Expected to put other's needs before our own.

This is reflected in so many seemingly innocent acts. Like girls get dolls as toys and boys get cars and legos and such. If a baby is dressed in pink, the baby gets smiled at more often and picked up and soothed a lot faster than a baby dressed in blue.

On the other hand, girls and women get unsolicited help much more frequently than boys. Some women, especially beautiful women, have learned to use that to their advantage. Good for them.

But for a girl being given help before she can figure out herself the solution to a problem fosters the idea that she isn't capable to find the answer on her own.

Brodie Welch is trained in Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, massage and so much more. She has helped men and women for over 22 years to live in better health.

Women have become her focus as she realized more and more that physical health and how we feel about ourselves are intrinsically connected.

She is offering several online courses and has given a 15 % discount to our listeners.

The discount offer is for 12 Treasures Qigong and for the Basics of Chinese Medicine
