Postpartum Weight

in health •  5 years ago

When I gave birth to my last child, Connie, I weighed 63 pounds, 6 pounds more than my ideal weight. I was doing plenty of exercise, walking 4-5 miles a day; but I also had plenty of food.

I hated being built; I wrapped myself in lots of clothes to hide my fat layers. I've tried to make all kinds of diet and I managed to lose 19 kg with the Atkins diet, which I had successfully continued for three years. Then I started running 24 miles on weekends; but this exercise caused more hunger and started to gain weight again. When I was 54, my waist almost disappeared.

At that time, my doctor confirmed that my weight, my blood pressure, my blood sugar and cholesterol, which was 76 kg, could not be healthy. I read all the guides I could find to lose weight on the Internet and on the one hand I started to count calories and exercise. The long hours I spent at the gym with exercise and my dog strolling sessions worked and I started to lose weight again.
