Smart meters operate by way of a two-way communications system in which energy usage is then logged wirelessly inside the meter and transmitted to your energy company. No longer do energy company trucks have to go around town for once a month check on individual meters; everything is completed automatically and wirelessly. Very simple, right?
It may be simple in functionality, but not as much in technicality. There is constant pulses of energy as smart meters are in communication with both electrical appliances inside the home, and with the energy company. This produces a radioactive threat that's about 100 times greater than that of a cell phone, science has found.
This is of concern, because electromagnetic pollution like the kind emitted by smart meters is highly damaging to the human body. There are reports of chronic headaches, seizures, heart palpitations, dizziness, insomnia, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and many other symptoms associated with exposure to smart meters.
