We all want to have flat belly and not some belly fat. Without wasting any time, here are the best ways you can prevent belly fat. Thank me later (smiles).

  • Be Choosy About Your Food: Always try to check the nutrition labels of food stuffs you buy in order to know how many calories and fats are in them. You shouldn't just stop eating fat foods but you should try and limit the amount you consume. I encourage you to eat plant foods or fish such as tuna and salmon that are very rich in omega-3s.

  • Quit Smoking: Smoking tends to make you more likely to store fat in your belly and therefore gives you belly fat and if you already have belly fat, how do you want to beat it? by adding more fat in your belly through smoking? No!!. So try and quit smoking for your belly size and also for health in general as it causes diabetes, cancer, heart disease, lung disease and many more.

  • Lift Weights: Studies have shown that daily weight lighting helps for less abdominal fat that aerobic exercises. So try and hit the gym daily for some weight lighting and get your sexy flat belly.

Eating plenty of fiber doesn't just help you reduce your belly fat and weight but also helps in reducing your chances of getting several diseases like diabetes and so on. You can get more fiber by eating plant foods like fruits and vegetables.

  • Avoid Drinking Too Much Alcohol: Studies have shown that alcohol have some positive health benefits but too much consumption can be very harmful to your health. Too much alcohol increases your chances of getting fat. I'm not saying you should completely avoid alcohol, what I'm saying is that you should reduce your quantity.

  • Sleeping Well: Studies have shown that people who sleep less(4-5 hours) or too much(8-9 hours) tends to get gain more weight and belly fat. Not getting the right amount of sleep causes the body to secrete fat-storing hormones called cortisol. Avoid belly fat by getting the right amount of sleep(6-7 hours) and also try to get a sleep schedule, the time you go to bed and the time you wake up, this also goes a long way in preventing belly fat.
