It is placed on 5th position among the most important factors that lead to various diseases. Zinc deficiency is the key factor that causes high death rate in underdeveloped countries because its shortage leads to diarrhea and child pneumonia.

Everyone, either young or old, should consume zinc on a daily basis to make his or her life healthy because it is one of the most important nutrients. It is also found in several sections in the human body. These are cell, bone, tissue and fluid. Zinc is mainly widespread in the male reproductive fluid and prostate glands.

Sufficient zinc in the body helps your immune system function well. It not only assists in the development of T-cell, but also can recognize white blood cells to trap the diseases. Its presence in the body is also vital for structural part of the hormone receptors. Your body needs to have adequate amount of zinc so that your immune system could become healthy and function very fast.

3. Zinc shortage causes diarrhea and leaky gut

Zinc shortage can cause immunity disorder, which leads to diarrhea, and can also continue for long time. Every year around 2 million kids all over the world get affected with diarrhea, and it is discovered that it happens due to a zinc shortage and infection caused by bacteria. Leaky gut is also known as intestinal penetrability. Several health issues can arise due to leaky gut. These are thyroid disorder, skin allergies, and imperfect absorption of food items by small intestinal.
