If not cancer, many people today die of a heart attack. As a deadly and sudden disease, actually a heart attack can be predicted from the way you walk every day you know.
Combined research by researchers from the University of Leicester and Loughborough University found that the running speed you usually do can be an indicator of how much risk you have a heart attack.
The six-year study analyzed the habits of 420,000 middle-aged British adults and asked them to test a fitness lab. They are asked to measure periodically how fast they walk and categorize speeds in three types, namely slow, average and fast.
At the end of the study, nearly 8.6 thousand participants died and 1,650 of them died of a heart attack. Once viewed, it turns out they are participants who fall into the category slow walker or slow walkers. People who walk slowly have a risk of 1.8 to 2.4 times die faster.
One of the study's authors, Professor Tom Yates, said: "Slow pedestrians are twice as likely to have heart-related disease as opposed to fast-paced pedestrians."
And this study applies to both men and women, regardless of other supporting factors such as weight, smoking, drinking and how much silence they take.
Well, it seems you need to walk faster than now and walk more yes to avoid heart disease. Becoming a fast walker is more beneficial to the body and lower the risk of heart attack.
