Post Op- Month 2 or Day 58

Wow, two months have already gone by since the PRK vision corrective surgery. It still seems unreal to wake up and be able to see without glasses or go to bed and not have to take contacts out. I keep recommending it to everyone if they're eyes can handle it. We get a second chance to be able to live a non-crutched life with no glasses or contacts. The cost has become more reasonable. I would recommend asking your normal optometrist if Lasik is a good option for you as I've been told some Lasik Centers will do it on people who may not have eyes that are strong enough. The company I used was an optometrists office who has a Lasik center. Since I needed the PRK surgery vs normal Lasik, patience has been my friend. As I've mentioned in previous blogs about post op (see below for all of them), it's been a struggle initially, but it's become worth it. The normal healing period for PRK is 80-90 days (I'm currently at around 58 days). I'm so close to full healing and my eyes are either 20/20 or super close! I have my last follow up appointment in May with the doctors office to make sure everything is healing. Even though it's been a bit of struggle with some blurry vision, it will all be worth it!
