Hello fellow steemers!
So, I ran across a few articles and decided to summarize them as a whole for you, the readers, in regards to the understanding behind the consumption of red meat and how most of us should be switching to a plant-based diet. Of course, it's completely up to the individual! These are just suggestions with backed up research:
BRIEF BACKGROUND:
Red meat is indeed the STAPLE FOOD for most individuals living on this planet Earth. According to some research, we consume approximately 106.6 pounds of red meat just last year. However, great news has come that the red meat industry has been impacted due to society's improvement in their overall food choice, by switching to more of a plant based diet compared to high statistics of the 1970s, where barely anyone consumed plant based meals.
WHY PLANT BASED DIETING WORKS!
The Harris Poll, suggested that approximately 8 million young-adult & adult Americans are either vegan or vegetarian, due to the fact that about 36% of these adults consumed vegetables with their meals due to either personal life choice or to improve health choices. In addition, according to some researchers, they believe that if plant based diet was sold in a bottle, it would become an overnight sensation since a plant based diet has proven to low the likelihood of someone contracting type 2 diabetes, heart related issues, or strokes.
IS RED MEAT GOOD FOR US?
Red meat overall has it's good since it's highly protein packed but can also come with consequences, since fat is majorly found in red meat as well. Not only that, but things such as CANCER are more likely to arise from consuming red meat. Consumption of red meat, is more than likely going to increase the likelihood of: colorectal cancer, kidney failure, etc.
Is vegan diet the way to go?! Of course, however, my suggestion is that a little meat won't hurt! Haha. We will all end up dying in the end anyways (Not to sound harsh, but it's the truth!)
Hopefully you enjoyed this article!
