As some of you might be aware many communities in the US & Canada are consistently adding fluoride into the drinking water. The governments and dental associations claim we put fluoride in the water to protect our teeth. But the more you investigate the more things look fishy. This has been a highly debated topic for decades. Recent evidence in the past decade has indicated that drinking fluoride can lead to IQ loss. A study done in 2012 by Harvard University released this article: https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/features/fluoride-childrens-health-grandjean-choi/
A website I've been following for the last few years called http://fluoridealert.org/ provides tons of info of the health concerns. There's enough evidence that there should be larger and more studies completed.
Edward Bernays was a man behind several successful marketing campaigns for the US Government. Previously employed by the American Tobacco Company, Edward and his Uncle were very successful marketing immigrants originating from Austria. Edward believed in mass manipulation of the public, below is a quote from his book "Propaganda".
The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.

Try looking at the back of your toothpaste - if it contains fluoride there's gonna be a warning label saying something like: "Do not swallow," and "in case of accidental ingestion, contact the poison control center."
This poison shouldn't be added to the water supply anywhere!

That's correct. That'y why some of the children's toothpastes are fluoride free because of how often kids swallow it.

I've been using fluoride free toothpaste for years myself and haven't experienced any negative effects, more like the opposite. Can't remember that I've had any blisters since that, no cold sensitive teeth and the tongue looks more healthy ;)
