The fruits and vegetables those are naturally red, that contain very few calories and sodium.

If we say about red meat, it contains plenty of iron and protein. However, the problem is that red meat should be eaten in limited quantities. Otherwise, red meat may be the causes of some critical disease including colon cancer. In that case if we increase our dependence on red fruits and vegetables, then we will be kind enough to our body. Because it contains high quality vitamins, minerals, carbohydrate, fat and protein, that produces the necessary energy in our body.

Let us know about the benefits of red fruits and vegetables-

Pomegranate

It is very tasty to eat as fruit and juice. Pomegranate packed with high quality antioxidants and potassium, which helps to keep blood pressure normal and helps to smooth functioning of the heart. It is the rich source of vitamin C and antioxidants. It also helps to protect certain cancers and Alzheimer's.

Tomato

Tomatoes are one of the super foods. Raw tomato can be eaten as salad or juice. The amount of calories in it is very low, but filled with nutrients. Tomato is available in different sizes and colors . Lycopene in red tomato is much higher than raw green tomatoes. Lycopene plays an important role in preventing stomach and prostate cancer. Besides, there is plenty of potassium in tomato, which is good for heart and Vitamin C of it helps to maintaining the health of the skin.

Red pepper

Whether the red chili is eaten raw, cooked or fried, it is beneficial for health. It contains high quality potassium, which helps in food digestion, keeps our heart safe. Moreover, Vitamin A of it keeps the eye intensified.
Red vegetables are source of plenty of vitamin C, so it destroys disease-causing bacteria. Capsaicin is a hot red pepper element, which is known as bacteria destroyer.

Strawberry

Red kidney beans contain heart friendly fiber like other red food. The outer dark cover of this seed contains lots of antioxidants. The folate in it is a type of amino acid, which prevents heart attack and stroke. It also packed with zinc, which helps to heal wounds and Vitamin B is also very important for the brain. The calcium and magnesium of red kidney bean helps to bone formation and bone erosion.

Cherry

During making cakes or pudding at home we use Cherry to decorate it. Do we know about the rich nutrients of this sweet fruit? It contains potassium, calcium and antioxidants. However, the nutrients can only be found in the original fresh cherries. We must avoid the artificial color and sugar mixed cherries.

We always rely on primary source as far as food chain is concerned, when you say red meat its not only about a food or its nutritional benefits but the torture and pain we are inflicting to a living creature just to satisy our taste buds and hence we should always rely upon plant food and trust me this nature has given everything in abundance in plant to satisfy our needs.

Very good article. I like reading about nutrition. It's good to see the benefits of the red fruits and veggies. My family eats a lot of strawberries, red apples, and watermelon. We mostly eat the black kidney beans because they have a greater amount of iron in them.
