In this episode am going to present us with more varieties of food and fruit that we can consume before, during, and after mail that can help keep our digestive system healthy and safe.
So without wasting much time lets dive into it.
We eat food in other to make us live healthy, satisfy our hunger and at the same time make us grow however if the right food is not consumed in the right proportion and time it can cause a huge disaster to our digestive system.
When digestive health is weak, it may become difficult for the body to assimilate the nutrient from the food you eat. Adding easy to digest foods to your diet eases digestive strain and provides your body with energy to heal compared to complex starches.
Below are few examples of foods you can use to aid your digestion
BANANA
If you think bananas are just for monkeys then you are definitely wrong because I bet you after this article you will never look at banana fruit the same way again after discovering the many health benefit and reason to add them to your diet.
The long curvy sweet yellowish fruit is the mostly widely consumed fruits in the world today for good reason, eating them does more than just satisfaction for hunger and pleasure rather it helps build the body digestive system and prevent other diseases.

The availability of fiber and potassium help to improve bowel movement and help in the broken down of carbohydrate for easy digestion, they also act as probiotic, stimulating the growth of friendly bacteria in the bowel which produces enzymes to assist in absorbing nutrients.

PAWPAW
Pawpaw also known as (carica papaya) is a small delicious tree native to the eastern United States and Canada, and grows majorly in the tropic and sub-tropical region producing a large, yellowish-green to brown fruit; it has a sweet custardish flavor somewhat similar to banana and mango, and is often eaten raw.
Pawpaw comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and its white fibrous pulp is rich in nutrients although not just the fruit itself but other part of pawpaw are also very beneficial.
This fruit has a lot of hidden benefit for skin, health and hair. “It is often called the wonder fruit for all its great properties”. Research is showing that the health benefit of the fruit pawpaw may be even greater than it delicious taste.
The fruit is considered so full of health benefits that its promotes digestion, build the immune system, prevents constipation, lowers inflammation, reduces pain from burns especially if the skin of the pawpaw is used, can prevent heart disease, complications from diabetes and atherosclerosis.
Pawpaw is known as a good source of fiber, which helps bring down cholesterol.
A unique enzyme in pawpaw referred to as papain, has a considerably positive on the digestive system. Its regular consumption performs all the functions necessary for maintaining a healthy skin.
It eliminates the toxins from the body, treats constipation, and greatly helps in proper digestion.
Pawpaw fruits are a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins B and c, carotenes, flavonoids, and minerals including potassium and magnesium, and fiber as such the health benefit are just numerous.

SWEET POTATOES

Sweet potatoes often wrongly called yams belong to the convolulaceae, or morning glory family. Yams which are from the dioscoreae family have only one embryonic seed leaf, while sweet potatoes have two.
There are about 400 varieties of sweet potato, some more available than others, differentiated by their skin and flesh color, ranging from cream, yellow and orange to pink or purple, oxidation turns them dark in spots after peeling, so it’s best to bake or steam immediately, or place in water until you do.
However it’s good to know that the health benefits or sweet potatoes may even surpass their reputation as a holiday favorite, having unique attributes not seen in other plant-based foods.
Improve digestion
The fiber content of sweet potatoes is higher than that of common potatoes and they taste really good too! When these two factors combined with other minerals like magnesium, which is present in sweet potatoes, it makes an excellent facilitator for digestion.
Sweet potatoes are easy to digest as well since they mainly contain starch.
They are soothing to the stomach and intestines, so you can avoid any difficulties of digesting them.
