Back in 2011, I was about 30-35 kilograms overweight. I felt horrible, like crap. So, I decided to exercise and alter my diet. It was difficult getting motivated and starting at first, but once I got into the flow, I just kept on losing the weight.
The main exercise that I did to lose weight was running. I own a treadmill so I just ran on the treadmill for an hour day (2 30 minute sessions). For my diet, I basically cut down whatever I ate into half. I did not change which foods I was eating. I just down-sized my portions and drank a lot of water.
Losing weight is very challenging especially if you have been leading an inactive lifestyle and eating a lot of junk food. You need to sit yourself down and have a talk with yourself. Ask yourself how much better you will feel if you lost all that weight? When you're lighter, you automatically feel better, look better, and have a lot more energy.
When you lose weight and become healthier, your brain works better too. Your whole body responds in a positive way.
Please note: Both these pictures are old now. The top one is from 2011 and the bottom one is from 2012. I was able to maintain my weight up till 2015. That's when I started to gain all my weight back again. Now, I am back to being fat again.
This time will be more challenging for me to lose weight than any other time because I have health issues that prevent me from more most types of exercise. I'll just have to find another way to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight after I've lost the excess weight.
I think it might not be too long before I start. I feel the motivation levels going up.
