Nice post, I have Spondylitis. I surf everyday, it has amazing benefits. Very similar to swimming. Hopefully it will slow down the damage as I am still quite young ;)

Yes, swimming is better on joints. Do not run on concrete, after a while it may wear down your cartilage and may cause damage leading to osteoarthritis later in life.
