Well , what they do is not far fetched
I thought it’s because of their wealth but today I found out that it’s not just about money , you can have so much money and not know what to do or how to go about your look.

You don’t have to be a secret agent in a fancy car to feel good

Living Healthy is Key

Be at alert and knowledgeable about the risks naturally attached to aging and how to tackle it with the right measures.

First , what are the things that affect us as we age????

A family medicine practitioner Donald Ford. MD MBA says that gender , genetics and psychological differences play a very important role in our aging .
Most importantly, other factors within human control can also affect how well we age.

For example,
Smoking and Excessive intake of Alcohol
Dr Ford says men age better if they are non-smokers and avoid much consumption of alcohol .

Below are other health challenges we are faced with as we age and some tips on how to tackle them :

High Blood Pressure and Heart Disease
It is no news that as we age we get prone to heart disease and high blood pressure. At this stage our immune system is no longer strong enough to fight against disease.
But we can boost our immune system by:
Exercise
Eating right and
Avoid smoking ( best to quit)

Metabolism and Sleep
As we age, we tend to experience changes in metabolism and hormone function, which can result in weight gain and some time weight loss. This could also affect sleep , causing sleep disorder.
To tackle sleep disorder you can curb naps during the day so that you can sleep better at night or try sleeping same time everyday and rise same time in the morning.
Exercise can also help you sleep well at night.
For weight gains or loss you can discuss with a doctor.

Mind Alertness ( sharpness of the mind)
It is seen that as we age the brain changes like losing neurons, memory,cognitive function and ability to respond to stimulus on time reduces. These in turn results into depression .
The brain can be at alert by social activities, music, exercise, hanging out with friends and maybe keeping pets.

Skin Problem
The toughness and elasticity Of the skin age also as we age, making the skin vulnerable to lesions such as sun spots.
Taking care of your skin as you age is very important if you wanna look good as you age.
It’s best to visit a doctor to be sure of what best to use to have a healthy skin and prevent any skin lesions.

Osteoporosis
This is a disease that is seen commonly in women at a particular age following menopause in which the bone becomes fragile and is subjected to fracture .
This also affect men ten years after women and they tend to have an increased risk of fracture from bone fragility.
Exercising regularly and avoiding excessive drinking and smoking can help prevent the risk of osteoporosis.

In summary,
To age well, it is very important to do appropriate health screenings ( blood pressure, cholesterol level, diabetes screening, colon and prostrate cancer, lung and aortic aneurysm cancer ).
Be sure all of these are under control .
Cut down on supplements, because they sometimes pose as a threat to your health. It’s best to get nutrients from a healthy diet, revisit your diet because your diet for when you were 20years might not work for you at 50years.

Let us focus on staying active physically by doing exercise ( walking or dancing) not necessarily tackle ball.

The principal of “use it or lose” comes in play as we age

Don’t just sit around when you age , engage your body .

Be determined to live healthy and you will see how good you will feel and look as you age .
