Many people are bothered by the fact that they are "over weight " they therefor engage in several activities to enable them lose weight but it is funny that most of them still gain more weight when they actually think that they are losing weight.
Some fats in our diets are visible e.g Butter on bread, mayonnaise in the salad, etc. which is a type that those losing weight usually avoid but they may not be aware of those ones known as the hidden fats. They are those fats in our diet which we usually don't take cognisance of but the truth remains that they are there in such diet e. g. Cakes, crackers, ice creams, oat meal, cheese, fries, pork meat etc.

You don't need to be a consumer of any form of junk, if you want to lose weight. You have to read the nutrition facts labels of the food, it will help you learn the quality of the facts in such food to know if it's good for your consumption or not. Of course, any good food should have a nutritional fact label.
One of the major diseases associated with high intake of fat especially the saturated fats is Atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis ( The build-up of fats, cholesterol and other substances in and on the artery walls) has caused numerous deaths in our society, leaving the blame and suspects on uncles, family members, brothers etc. Atherosclerosis is the deposition and hardening of cholesterol ( Low density lipoprotein (LDL) chorestrol ) in walls of medium and large arteries thereby causing hindrance in the free flow of blood to several parts of the body especially in the heart. Note the flow of blood to the heart is like an engine oil to an automobile engine, and what happens when there are not much engine oil in your vehicle?.
When there is atherosclerosis (blockage of the arteries) there is restricted flow of blood to the heart wich may result to myocardial infarction (heart attack), strokeand other cardiac problems. This major disorder can be reduced by consumption of diet rich in Omega -3-fatty acids e.g. fish oil gotten from fresh fish, sardines, tuna, mackerel, etc., and soluble fibres. But intake of saturated fats like butter, mayonnaise, processed meats, and red meat.etc can raise the chorestrol level there by causing disorder.
Maintenance of good diets as well as exercise can impact positively on our longevity. Poor diets and little exercise are risk factors for many life threatening diseases. Drinking of much alcohol can also impair nutritional status of an individual, it is also associated with some forms of liver diseases, and accidents.
Eat good food (balance diet-one rich in the six classes of food). Don't just take anything without reading the nutritional fact label, it will help you to identify the hidden fats that may be present in such food. Don't do away with exercise, at least take a walk and sweat, it's normal, sweating help you burn out some fats. Drink as much water as possible, and cut down your alcohol consumption.
Also for more of essential vitamins ( vitamins which the body cannot synthesize, thus they are to be supplied via our daily diet), eat more of fruits, vegetables, fish, carrots, cucumbers,
whole grains etc. and expose yourself to early morning sun it's very essential to the body.
Reduce the intake of saturated fats, junk food and take more of good diets as well as exercise, this will surely increase your longevity, make your body flexible and will not cost you much, so go for it!...
