When it comes to creating the perfect morning routine, there is no better person to decide what you need to do, but yourself. Have you ever noticed how much different the day unfolds when you are able to spend the morning on your own terms? Personally, I find that there is a night and day difference between having an hour or two to wake up properly, and fifteen minutes before I am late for work or class. I am going to share with you, three simple ways you can have the morning to yourself and create the mindset to tackle the day with success.
1). Find the things that make the morning wonderful.
Whether it is a cup of coffee, a nice walk around the block, or a magical omelet, find that deal breaker which will get you out of bed no matter what. Morning hours are filled with such peace and I believe it grants such grace to whatever you are doing. I find that brewing a nice cup of coffee and stretching (which is best in the sunrise by the way) can do wonders. I wake up each morning focused, sharp and ready to make a better day than the last.
2). Prepare for the morning.
Take a moment before bedtime to lay out clothes for the next day, set a glass of water out for the morning, pack yourself a nice lunch for the next day, clean the kitchen, your room, etc… Anything that will simplify your morning can create such a simple pleasure. You would be surprised how many precious seconds, minutes, or hours you can save when you need it most!
3). Never wake up on the wrong side of the bed.
No matter how you feel, wake up, dress up, and show up. Always have a positive attitude, the day can be filled with endless possibilities and each day will bring new challenges. Embrace each day with gratitude, and sooner or later you will be at your best, even on your worst day.

Great post! I always prepare for the morning by going to sleep at a similar time of night and setting my phone on airplane mode so that I don't get any disturbing notifications in the middle of the night.

Thank you! That is a great idea, I cannot sleep with my phone next to me, I feel that it takes away from my sleep! I find the best thing to do is to have it on a table or somewhere nearby so that way if you need to get up to use it.

This is definitely food for thought! I think switching your mindset towards making each morning better is a good way to start the day, especially in the winter months when it takes more effort to get going and out of the house.
