Cardio has many benefits like improving blood circulation, flush excess or harmful toxin through sweating, weight control, etc.… But is doing it first thing in the morning actually better in term of losing weight? Well yes and no.
Speaking from experiences, I actually do cardio first thing in the morning and I’ve been doing this for 3 months now. My diet is still the same. And the result so far… well it actually made no difference to what I’ve achieved 3 months ago, I lost the same amount of fat.
So why do I even bother doing it? For two reason: it’s the only time I can do it without any excuses like being too tired after a long day, and when I’m fresh, doing cardio is much more enjoyable. Basically I just skip all the hassle of not wanting to do it.
To me the idea of burning more fat if you do cardio on empty stomach is a myth. But who knows what will happen when the day unfolds. Maybe you won’t even have time later in the day to do it.
I’m a morning person, but there’s nothing natural waking up at 5, 5:30 in the morning and go for a run. It takes some time to get used to. But in my opinion, there is no best time to do cardio. Just do it whenever the most convenient for you.
