As per Real-Time Air Quality Index, Kathmandu air has an index value of 151 (which indicates that the air is unhealthy to breathe). Air pollution is increasing in the capital city of Nepal. Due to the mismanaged extension of road and smoke from vehicles are the main source of air pollution in this city. 7 out of 10 world heritage site are located in this historic and cultural valley.
Air is prime need for healthy living influencing physical and mental development of an organism.
Awareness is needed from all organizations and individuals to protect the lives, heritages and face of Kathmandu valley.
