I use Tom's too. The no fluoride one. Most of the time I use straight baking soda to brush my teeth. After brushing I swish the baking soda in my mouth for about a minute. My gums seem to really like that.

Yeah. Baking soda is the best. Squeaky clean. But not to brush too hard. It's abrasive and damage the enamel. alkaline too. bacteria hate alkaline. And did I say cheap? whitens also. (Makes a good deodorant)
