I think some of you know that I am nurse and work with baby , so i spend most of the time in my hospital( 48 hours in a week).I feel very well in my duty place. Although newborn baby handling is very tough for most of the people specially new mother .Today I share my experience about baby care.......................

Before going my topic I would like to say ,everyone to keep the body fit you should have a good habit that is @hand wash , @hand wash & @hand wash. About 50 percent disease enter in your body not for proper hand hygiene , so don't forget to hand wash.

How to bath your baby:

Bath is very essential for baby care & daily bath is essential to keep hygiene.It is important aspect of your baby clean & fresh. you can bath your baby any time but it is advisable to do so before a feed.Bathing your baby too soon after a feed can cause your baby to be uncomfortable & split up milk.

Bath may help a baby to relax & calm down.If you are still new to baby bathing you may want your another hand to help you.

To bath your baby you need some necessary items:

Bath tub/Basin
A jag of warm water
Face cloths
Baby cloths
Towel
Baby soap
Cotton ball or smooth cloths 2pices
Baby wrap
Diaper

Before starting the bath wash your hand with soap & water & ensure that you have all the necessary items attended during bath time.

Preparing the bath :

Fill the basin with cold water first than warm water up till one third level of the tub mix the water well & use the inner part of your forearm to test the temperature.
Squeeze 2 drops of baby soap into the water & mix well & gently remove the vest ,talk to your baby so that she feels reassured.

At first clean your baby's eyes:

cleaning your baby's eyes with cold boiled water from inner corner to outward.you will observe for any yellowish discharge around your baby's eyes & bring him to the doctors if the discharge persistence.

Clean your baby's face:

wash your baby's face using cool boiled water. you can either use a face cloth dipped in the water than clean the face .

Wash hair & immediately dry the hair.

Now wash your babys whole body:

After clean whole body last clean your baby pereineal area & when you are done than place your baby gently into the towel and put him dry.

Be sure to clean your babys umbilical area .if you notice any bleeding or foul smelling discharge.you should be re clean the cord& consult a doctor if symptoms persistant

Cleaning your baby's umbilical cord:

wash your hand before cleaning the umbilical cord.use cotton balls dipped in cool boiled water&squeeze dry to clean the cord with one circular motion.discard the swap after use.than with a clean swab. Each time using a new picces of swap..clean the cord clamp&the tip of the cord.

Finally,

Dressing of the baby:

do not overdress your baby.wear dress that are comfortable for the environment.before dressing your baby you can use baby lotion but baby powder is not encourage.

after finishing his bath the baby feel clean,fresh,&comfortable.that is time for good feed also babies usually sleep better after a warm bath........
