Baby's open heart surgery at low cost in Bangladesh

Apart from being successful in the world of success, the confidence of the victims has increased in domestic treatment. Yet, a significant number of children are being killed due to lack of awareness before diagnosing the disease. To save the unfortunate, children in district upazila urged to bring medical services under the care of the heart patients.

Kamalmati Yusuf floats the family back home from the door of death. Three months ago, Yusuf's open heart surgery was done at just 4 kg of 2cm, which is a milestone in the medical services of the country. After 72 hours of intensive operation in Dhaka Shishu Hospital, the doctor said that Yusuf will laugh again in his mother's lap.

Yusuf's mother said, 'My child was so bad that I never thought that he would be back in my lap.'

In just five years, the number of patients who came to Dhaka for treatment of heart diseases in Dhaka Shishu Hospital increased by one and a half times. After birth, numerous patients coming to the hospital every day with respiratory problems, abnormal heartbeats, frequent cold cuts, heart pores, and many other symptoms.

One mother said that her baby's operation, medicine, and medicine cost a total of 72 thousand rupees.

10 children born every year with heart disease in the country. Already more than 400 children have open heart surgery in Dhaka Shishu Hospital. The cost of each surgery, including all types of expenses, ranges from 72 thousand Taka to Tk 1.74 lakh BDT.

Child Cardiologist Dr. Khalifa Tariq Mahmud said, 'Many people do not want to undergo surgery under ten kilograms in our country. We also carry out regular operations of children weighing five kg and even four kilograms which have a hole in the heart. '

And the childhood specialist Dr. Rezwana Rima said, "We are preparing for the operation after installing a stable child who is not able to do the operation right now."

Hospital authorities plan to increase open-heart surgery opportunities by providing low-cost service for low-cost services, including the development of infrastructure.

Dhaka Shishu Hospital Director Dr. Mohammad Abdul Aziz said, 'All operations are here and we are doing the operation of all types of children from a young age, low birth weight and big children.'

According to a private study, fifty percent of children with congenital heart disease are being killed without treatment. The doctors urged the government to spread this service outside the capital to reduce the mortality rate.
