Dengue Cases Rising in the Rainy Season

In Baguio City, dengue cases reached 121 in the past six months. The increase was quite significant from last year’s record. In 2017, there were only 74 cases recorded from January to June. This number is expected to rise during this rainy season.

In order to avoid being infected from dengue virus, it is important to maintain cleanliness in our homes. It’s unfortunate coz some dengue cases were infected Clear the places, where mosquitoes can possibly lay eggs. Clean all of the corners of the house, especially in the dark areas.

It is also important to have the knowledge and know the symptoms of dengue. If you have fever for 3 to 7 days, it is best to seek the physician’s help. Other signs of dengue are joints and muscle pains, lack of appetite, headache and eye pain, vomiting and diarrhea, skin rashes, and bleeding from the nose or gums.
