Even if you eat enough fish which contain alot of omega 3 I think it's important to supplement with some extra.
In todays society we eat alot of food that contain more omega 6, sometimes up to 20 times more!
It's very important to have a good balance between these fatty acids if you don't want to end up getting chronic inflammation.
It would be best to just stop eating crap with to much omega 6 but it's kinda hard since most meat isn't from grass-fed animals and the fish isn't wild caught.
Awesome stuff @stefanarud. Love these daily health tips posts. Continue posting and keep up the good work!

It is the ratio between omega 6 ando omega 3 that matters. So you have two option: raise omega 3 intake, or lower omega 6 intake (the best one).

Methinks fish oil is the best source of essential fatty acids when compared against plant based such as coconut oil, flax-seed or canola. I consume all 4 just to cover all my bases.

Isn't coconut oil primary saturated fat? Also doesn't both flax-seed and canola contain mostly ALA Omega 3 fatty acid? ALA, in which doesn't contribute to many of the health benefits associated with Omega 3s (DHA & EPA are believed to contribute most to health benefits).
