Hello Steemit Friends,
Anxiety- the distress evoked due to different kind of pressure in life perhaps holds the greatest weight connecting to the onset of sickness. While most of us suffer from anxiety and when your anxiety and fears get best of you and you are unable to control them, they will control you leading you in tears.
There is no job, no diet or activity, business, relationship that is free from stress and in every sphere of life people are confronted to combat this epidemic. Learning how to manage anxieties gives you back the sense of control and power and allowing you to choose how to interact instead of just reacting.
Here are some simple and effective ways to manage your fear and anxiety
Acknowledge and feel the fear of anxiety
In today's world, the act of being present is particularly underrated. 85% of our decisions are made at unconscious level. The key here is to recognize our feeling and how they are driving our decisions. Allow the anxiety to enter and feel it. When we can consciously notice the feeling, we can prohibit any negative feeling and replace them with better decisions.
Breathe
So often we forget the act that sustains life and keeps us alive and that's breating. When we are anxious our diaphragm is undermined due to heavy breathing and we start breathing from our chest. This result choppy breath which does not allow oxygen to flow into our brains and therefore impeds our ability to think smartly.
Journal experience
When we experience anxiety,, it manifests into some physical symptoms and naming physical symptoms is very helpful. Its recommended that you journal your feelings. Ask yourself genuinely how you are feeling and what your wants and needs are. We are so detached from our feelings that we are often surprised by the reaction in a stressful situation. Once you start capturing the feelings, you will see dramatic results in awareness and this helps you with better insight to what affects you and how you can combat those situations.
Meditation
Return to your spiritual practice, sitting on meditation cushion until the emotions and energy settles down and move through your body and then you are no longer reactive. Meditation includes a variety of techniques like prayer, self focused breathing which are used in Yoga. This relaxes your brain and allows you to get back your focus.
Tying it all together, stress and anxiety should not keep you down. By being conscious and making small changes, you can bounce back from set back. Repeat these steps until the habit of reflecting and pausing replaces the habit of reacting.
Thank You for all your love, support, comments, up votes and shares
Much Love, Suzana <3
for some reason that animated gif was giving me some fear and anxiety! so I decided to face it head on, stare at it a while, and work to negate and nullify the "feelings" it was bringing up...
Now it just seems to beat along to the music I'm listening to! lol

thats a great way of looking at it beat is very good for the brain you should goodle Annirudh Patel. In one of his researches he video's a parrot dancing to the beat. Apparently our brain is geared up with positivity when we are in tune with the beat.

Thank you, @suerisue, for this post. I can only agree with it :-D
Especially welcoming and consciously feeling anxiety (or any other emotion) has been an eye opener for me in the last few years.
Spread the word!

If I can be candid throughout my life, I feared mentioning that I had any anxiety in my life whatsoever. Today I freely admit there is much anxiety. But in my posts you may see something unique. I am trying to differentiate between the Asperger's in me, that is the 'Aspie', and the 'Me'. I now have to admit and this is against Aspie's wishes that anxiety ran my life. For the first time ever and I think evidence of this can be seen in my first post I have turned to my GP and have got a prescription for anti-anxiety tablets. I fear taking them even though I have in the past when I have been seriously ill have had them unknowingly prescribed because I was not in a fit state to be aware. I like your post because it delivers some home truths and common sense how to be at peace with oneself.

I love the simplicity here @suerisue. In my experience, the most powerful techniques have been the simple ones! I particularly enjoy video journaling. I do it every morning and it has helped me overcome years of struggling with anxiety and depression. Sometimes we just need to be heard. Oddly enough, that doesn't necessarily require another individual to be there listening... a camera lens or pad of paper can oftentimes suffice!
I just recently created the first part of my Neuro-Semantics course entitled: The Process of Perception: How We Represent Reality Pt 1. It's quite relevant to some of the things you mentioned here. Give it a read if you are inspired! :)
