A recent research has said that women who have complained of high blood pressure during pregnancy, they are at risk of serious cardiac related diseases and depression.
Research has shown that the women who have high blood pressure during pregnancy, the risk of serious heart diseases is higher than twice the normal rate of women. In such women, the risk of depression increases after pregnancy up to five times.
MacGill University's doctoral candidate, Sonia Grandi told that the research indicates that women with high blood pressure complaints during pregnancy have to be monitored for long periods so that they can be saved during the time of risk of heart disease.
This research has been published in the journal 'Pediatric and Parental Epidemiology'.
Due to high blood pressure complaints during pregnancy, a serious situation like preclampsia may also be encountered, which can prove to be dangerous for both mother and child.
This research was done on 1,46,748 women who were first conceived.
