I'm firing my doctor!

in health •  7 years ago

I walk in for a scheduled physical after I turned 64 and I am told I can't get one because I am considered a new patient... Whoa I say, I've been a patient here for 20 years. But you have not been in for 3 years and now must be interviewed like you are a new patient. I ask if there is any charge for the trouble I caused them and they told me no. Good I said because I am GONE.

I am blessed with good health, take good care of myself and unlike most of the people in the waiting room who look terrible shape to me, I try to avoid the doctor like the plague. Seems all of my home remedies work quite well, though they are not covered by insurance which is the biggest rip in the world. Insurance should cover preventative therapy like massage and acupuncture for examples, and those that take good care of themselves and don't use insurance should be given an annual discount.

I'm tired of paying high costs for insurance to offset for people that eat too much, move too little, and have vices that poison the life force. Doctors are quite satisfied to prescribe them all the medications in the world that further poison the body, intoxicate the liver, and cloud the body's swimming pool. Doctors have a look up table that says if you have this symptom you take this medication. If the medication causes you distress we'll give you another to treat that problem. It's bad folks. People generally trust their doctor. I do not. Doctors are taught in a curriculum that was developed though funding by the drug companies. A recipe for disaster...

Educate yourself about your health. You ARE what you eat. Find a functional medicine practitioner. They believe in finding the causes of symptoms and seek to eliminate the causes of illness. Quite different than your regular family practice doctor who treats symptoms with drugs.

I'm firing my doctor and will continue to research on my own. The old folks knew how to take care of themselves. We can study what they did and find simple, cheap cures for things. One example. Instead of taking intoxicating drugs to sleep, try making a tea with peach tree leaves and drink before bed time. Gather in summer and freeze until you need them.

See ya Doc!
