Here we go - top of the head, original, all about using things that are NATURAL, for your health and 'looking good'. Some call it beauty. I've been aware of and using various natural, home remedies, and essential oils for years and here are some of my success stories.
If we want to see if I am a good testimony to my advice, that's your call. I'm 59, recent (way too big) photo. Well, whatever you think, you can please keep opinions to yourself, but since pix are a good thing? ... and for full disclosure, here you go.
A bonus kitty pix is at the bottom, too.
So, let's start at the top of the head.
TO GROW MORE HAIR FASTER, THICKER: Use peppermint oil.
HOW? Get best quality (ie, not 'fragrance' kind, but) kind that won't kill you if you ingest it.
Tip: If you're going to ingest (ie, eat) essential oils, do some serious research and be fricking careful.
HOW TO DO IT?
USE PEPPERMINT OIL ON YOUR HEAD TO GROW MORE HAIR. (Or, wherever else you want to grow hair. Men may want to try their beard, or please - for those who don't have any on your chest ... if you do, I think it's kinda cool).
- Get a small wide-mouth container (like a teacup). Put about 1/3 cup of water in it, and up to 10 drops of PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL ON IT.
- Stick your fingertips in the water and swish to make the oil and water mix.
Hint: water and oil don't mix, so keep doing this to get both on your fingertips.
GOAL: you want a diluted mix of peppermint oil, that is why you are putting it in water. - TECHNIQUE. run your fingertips along your scalp. You're goal is to put the oil/water mix on your scalp (skin), not your hair. It won't hurt your hair, but the goal is to get on the skin and hair follicles. (roots). Do this all over your scalp, as often as you like. Could be daily, nightly, weekly, once a month - up to you. If you do it several times a week, for several weeks, I bet you'll find your hair is growing faster and thicker, and doesn't fall out as much.
TELL ME HOW YOU DO, if you do it.
References? - well, the use of peppermint oil IS backed up scientifically. You can do your homework. The scientists did do it on mice, resulting in mice with long, luxurious, fuller, thicker hair ... No shit.
For an AFTERSHAVE (men and women): If you aren't trying to grow hair where you are shaving, which ... is probably the reason why you are shaving, then don't use peppermint oil, but something else, like lavender, which is soothing to the skin.
FOR HAIR conditioning in general - put ARGAN OIL on the ends. Good conditioner. Absorbs quickly. Probably best to wash it out before hanging out with people who may wonder why you have 'dirty hair'. Etc.
TO FIX A LOT OF SKIN PROBLEMS: Use Lavender and Frankincense Essential Oil.
(Again, first purchase your BEST QUALITY essential oils. Ones you can ingest, ie, eat, they may say 'therapeutic grade'. They may be expensive, but they last a long time.)
HOW TO USE?
Depending on what your problems are, mix up something like 20 drops lavender to 10 drops frankincense, and put in a good quality 'carrier oil' (look it up). I like ARGAN OIL. (which one may find is the effective ingredient in many 'beauty products'; but the corporates can't patent argan oil or almond oil, etc., or essential oils, so they put in all their other 'proprietary' ingredients that are as often as not crap and charge you a mint for it.
How much Carrier Oil? I estimate; you can find some formulas online of course, but I keep on hand a 100 ml bottle of Argan Oil, and the 20 / 10, lavender to frankincense, and PUT IT ON YOUR SKIN.
Wow, complicated, aye? I put it allover after a shower. For areas where I have 'problems', such as dry or flakey areas, warts, bumps, discolorations, anything 'weird' -- I put it on.
For stubborn areas (those that don't clear up in a few days), I go nuclear on it.
NUCLEAR, Vic? Yes -- Do this and be careful, but it will fix things (my experience and others).
Case Study - I had a small mole that (gasp) started going from a cute little thing to DARK & BUMPY, quickly. Freak out, right? No. I got my frankincense oil and put it on a bandaid, then put it on the spot, wart, whatever. TRY to cover ONLY the BAD part. Frankincense can sting like a bee, AND it can DESTROY the good skin around it (which will grow back), as it DESTROYS the bad part - so be careful, you know? What is NECESSARY IS TO FULLY COVER THE frankincense-soaked cotton part with an AIRTIGHT bond, like medical tape or whatever will create an AIR TIGHT bond. You don't want the Frankincense to evaporate (which is does quickly if applied topically with no covering. Got it?
Now - leave that bandaid/tape on for a couple of days. (Wash around it.) Good luck. Let me know how it goes.
Case study result: the mole disappeared, the skin around healed invisibly.
- simple ROUGH SPOTS, or calloused feet. Go barefoot much? Put Lavender oil (neat or mixed with a carrier oil) on your feet. Put socks on. Go to sleep. That should help a lot.
AROUND THE HOUSE - usually plain water works in most cases, or use white vinegar. If I'm serious, I use diluted chlorine bleach (I'm sure it's natural, isn't it?) Natural doesn't mean not toxic. Be careful.
FRAGRANCE - around the house, and on the person, for freshening and anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-whatever bad stuff ... USE YOUR ESSENTIAL OILS. What smells do you like? Lemon or Orange? Clove? Lemongrass ... or eucalyptus (kinda strong but pretty neat, especially if you have smoking or pet odors.) Lavender? Whatever fragrances you like, there is an essential oil for it. Experiment. What I do is have some small spray bottles and put mostly water in them, and then a mixture of whatever essential oils I like. Depending on size of bottle and purpose, put between 5 and 50 drops of whatever you like. Spritz around liberally.
AROUND THE HOME:
ANIMALS & FLEAS? Sprinkle Pennyroyal around. Look it up.
(related tip: be very careful using any essential oils on cats. )
ANIMALS & FOOD? - Also, feed your cats a raw meat and bones diet. Look up BARF 'bones and raw food'. There is a great yahoogroup about Raw foods for animals. TIP - STOP FEEDING YOUR ANIMALS CRAP from the supermarket, and avoid the OVER-Vaccination of cats and dogs.
What else?
Anything else you want to know on this subject, just ask.
Note re top photo: I'm sure Bourbon is natural, too. :-)

I had an all natural house cleaning service and I made my own products. Mostly I used essential oils. I wouldnt even put any of them directly on my skin. I would highly advise mixing with some kind of oil like olive oil or use organic essential oil made for putting on the skin. If you put it directly on your scalp your likely to get light headed. Cute Cat.

Good to hear your experience. Agreed on mixing with carrier oils, as said. Sometimes being LIGHT headed is a good thing. :-) Peppermint oil gives a buzz.

Hi @vicktorya , I noticed you are posting more than four posts in 24 hrs. On steemit you get penalized for that and none of your posts will earn. That is a limit which was enforced through a change in the algorithm sometime ago. Try and only post 4 in a day and you should be fine!
And as I too am a believer in natural products for health, it was nice reading your experiences. :)

Good tips Vicktorya! Frankincense works well and so does iodine: Lugol's Solution of Iodine 5% is pretty powerful. Careful to only dab it directly on the 'spot' - not the surrounding skin (it will burn healthy skin and you'll be sorry). Apply two or three times a day and after a few days the 'thing' you have been dabbing will turn black and vanish. THOSE CAT EYES... gorgeous!
