Dear steemit friends...
Maybe you've heard the name Sialang tree, actually Sialang tree is not the name of the tree species, but the word sialang is a term given by the village community for tree trees in the forest that there are dozens or even hundreds of honeycomb.
In general this sialang tree has an average height of 60 meters upwards with a trunk diameter of 2 meters.
As for the trees that are usually called sialang, among others, the tree of benuwang Octomeles sumatrana, koompassia parvifalia tree, and crushing K. excelsa and others which if it is horned by forest bees (apis dorsata) then the people in Sumatera will call it sialang tree.source
The benefits of honey itself is very much for humans, even in the days of ancient Egypt honey used as one of the mummified embroidery material king of Egypt, the queen Cleopatra using honey for his beauty ingredients.
According to some researchers on honey source :
- Honey contains antibiotic substances. The results of research Peter C Molan (1992), researchers from the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Waikoto, New Zealand. According to Honey proved to contain antibiotic substances that are active against the attacks of various pathogens causing disease.
- Honey contains anti-microbial substances that can fight disease, this is expressed by researchers from the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya in Malaysia, Kamaruddin (1997).
- The results of other nutrition and food experts suggest that honey contains the highest carbohydrate among other livestock products of milk, eggs, meat, cheese and menterga (82.3% higher) Each 100 grams of pure honey is worth 294 calories or a ratio of 1000 grams pure honey is equivalent to 50 chicken eggs or 5,675 liters of milk or 1680 grams of meat. Even the compounds or substances contained in honey is very complex that reaches 181 species.
propolis in bee body

Honey is very good for everyone starting from babies, children, teens, adults and even elderly.
Some diseases can be cured by consuming honey regularly, such as source :
flatulence, toothache, urinary tract infections, cancer, hair loss, cholesterol, blood vessel blockage, cholesterol, etc.
If you want to get more information about the privilege of honey, you can visit the source site I attached in this post.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, may be useful.

My question is: what are you doing to protect the bees? Do you destroy their nest in order to get the honey? What about beekeeping and trying grow various flowering plants as food source for the precious bees?
Did you kill the bee to show the propolis?
The problem is: without bees no honey. :) And the bees are getting fewer due to our influence (pollution, destroying of their habitats, planting of flowerless monocultures, ...).

before I say thank you for your comments in my posting.
first of all i want to emphasize that i post about the forest bees and its benefits, then about the content of propolis in bee stomach like in photo, it is taken from bees example that dead and done by bee farmer not me, and the farmer did not kill the bees.
taking a honeycomb in a forest on a tree that is up to 60 meters deep is not easy.
usually the farmers make the smoke first near the honeycomb that will be harvested and not all can be harvested, and usually there are distinctive features for bee hives that are ready to be harvested, for example the content of honey has been dripping indicates that the existing honey nest is full.
as for the purpose of the smoke itself to keep the bees away from the nest instead of killing it. and when the hive is full of honey, the bees will make another nest to hold the honey they get from sucking nectar or flower.
for its preservation, the government makes regulations and restrictions on cutting down trees in the forest and the regulation is obeyed by local people, only occasionally many planters break through the rules and prohibitions with the power of their money.
the regulations were made in addition to the preservation of the habitat of the forest bees, as well as for the income of the people around the forest harvesting the honey for resale.
as well as honey farmers, they make honey farms to benefit and also environmental sustainability. the difference is only if the natural forest bees are original, and natural livestock bees laid out and arranged in accordance with the needs of the type of honey that wants to get from various types of plants in one area. pollution itself is caused by technological advances that I, you and also all feel.
and if there is any question why the tired bees work collecting honey and humans who enjoy the results...? I can only answer "it is the law of nature", because God Almighty created the world and including its contents must have its benefits for the survival of humans and other living beings, especially those who need honey for health, and I strongly believe God is all-knowing. I am just trying to find information about bees and its benefits for health.
and preserving environmental sustainability is not just for me, but also for you and for all. so many replies from me, if there is a word that is less pleasing I apologize. thank you

Don't worry, there is no need to apologize - thanks for your long answer. Even if opposite to you I believe that evolution created all organisms on this planet. But hey: different people, different opinions, no problem from my side. :)
The huge problem is, that in many cases we humans act very shortsighted by exploiting nature in a way that we get as much as possible today but nothing anymore in the future (we are exploiting the oceans until we have not enough fish anymore as well as the forests ... instead of giving nature the necessary time to recover).
You might be interested to read something about beekeeping in Europe. If 'yes', just read here.In case concerning the bees the local population acts in a responsible way I would appreciate that ...
