The mystery of the Goji Berries
According to the legend, in the lands of the Himalayas , lived a town known to be very long-lived. It is commented, that near a well, there was a tree that gave a very strong red berries. The monks of the place had as routine to drink a cup of the water of this well, trusting that the berries contributed nutrients to the waters and, consequently, to themselves, giving them a very healthy life until old age.
Goji berries are known with a multitude of names, among them: Tibet cherry, red diamonds, lycium barbarum, goji cherry , etc. It grows in a large and strong tree that accepts variopintos climates and can be born in almost any land.
Goji berries are so adored throughout Central Asia, that a festival is celebrated every year to venerate them, as food used in traditional Chinese medicine to provide high doses of energy.

It is a complete protein that contains polysaccharides, amino acids and antioxidants. According to David Wolfe, eating them raw is the best thing.
This fruit is sold dry and can be eaten directly from the container or included in other foods. Currently, goji berries have become popular and many people include them in their diet in a variety of ways: alone, with yogurt, salads, juices, milkshakes, cereals, etc.

If you prefer, you can also moisten them with water and wait to get a food like the original berry.
