IF YOU’RE ALIVE IN 30 YEARS, IT’S LIKELY YOU WILL BE ALIVE IN 1000 YEARS

Extending your life is not a joke. It’s being pursued, passionately, by Google’s chief engineer, Ray Kurzweil. This idea becomes increasingly popular, with some scientists believing people are only decades away from the ultimate blast of advancement.

Getting younger is quite an interesting idea which surely attracts many people’s attention. Literally, editing your DNA and cells, regrowing telomeres in order to bring them back to their youthful state; this is possible and truly happening right now.

Increasing your life expectancy is something you can do any day of the week. The human DNA is either getting young and older; today you may be destined to die at the age of 90, but with proper diet, exercise, and meditation and suddenly you may prolong your lifespan to 91. Together with direct genetic therapy, there is no certainty how long people can maintain their health and youth.

Still, one thing remains certain. Death is no longer an absolute fact. As with all things that appear absolute in science, scientists are bending the rules and exploring how to change the limits of possibility.

As the world cooperates and computing capacities continue to double on a yearly basis, we are now facing a vast acceleration of possibilities. The picture shown in this article, from Ray Kurzweil’s book “The Singularity is Near – When Humans Transcend Biology”, predicts that computers would be more intelligent than the human brain. Indeed, with the arrival of quantum computing, this idea seems quite possible.

The advancement of computer technologies is directly related to the advancement of information technologies and helps the rapid sharing of ideas. As 3D printers can print medicine with coded blueprints, the information of how to produce the medicine becomes as valuable and traded as the very medicine.

So, if we can make it another twenty years, we should expect modern technology to be so much advanced that it will provide us with the possibility to live another twenty years. After those four decades go by, we will be able to utilize technology that enables us to live for another forty years.

So people, remain calm, keep peace and let us all live a long and prosperous life! How do you like that idea? Give us your feedback in the comments below. Also, share this article as it may bring a new perspective into many people’s lives!

I think that you are absolutely right about this. It is not just gene editing that will solve the aging problem. It could be nanotechnology as well. These are very interesting times that we live in.
