The Uncommon Benefits of Pitaya or Dragon Fruits

In tropical and subtropical regions such as South America and Asia, Pitaya or dragon fruit grows and grows abundantly. As the name implies, the outer skin of the dragon's fruit resembles a cactus, scaly resembling a dragon's skin on myth.

To cleanse the digestive system, eating Pitaya fruit is one effective way. This fruit has a high fiber content, the components needed digestion. Eating meat and seeds, which contain protein, will keep your body healthy.

4. Active antioxidants


To cleanse the body of free radicals and cancer-causing substances, you can eat foods that contain antioxidants. The best sources of antioxidants are fruits and vegetables, and dragon fruit has a high enough antioxidant.

5. Against diabetes

One of the reason why people in the ancient days live longer is because of the use of plant and fruit. I don't want to be religious here but we all know that the initial plan of God for human race when it comes to feeding is vegetables and fruit. We all should cultivate the habit of eating more of fruit than processed and cooked foods because the fruit and vegetable do more good to our health. This article is interesting, educating and very helpful. Healthy eating is the way to go in 2018

Interesting post @zenk02. In México we call "Pitaya" a fruit that gives a cactus, which is full of very sharp and sharp thorns, although like the one you present in the picture is full of small seeds, although the color of the fruit inside is usually be a reddish color.

I love dragon fruit too. I feed it to my grandmother regularly as she's fond of it, and seems to help with her constipation.
