It is corching hot here in the Philippines that one cannot bear to be under the sun for long.
This post is to let us know or to remind us the dangers caused by summer or of very hot environment and how to avoid them.
These are based on my personal experiences, observation and what I see on the news that's quite alarming.
1. Heat stroke
This occurs if a person had a lengthy exposure to high temperature. Like when you stay in a hot and humid place for a long period of time. Another kind is when you undergo an extreme or intense physical activity like working out. Another is if you do sports or train for the military. It may be triggered as well with sudden exposure to hot temperatures. Like coming from a cold room then directly going out in a hot place.
Try to keep under the shade if you really need to go outdoors and always have some water handy. Also try to wear light and thin clothing to allow sweat to evaporate and cool the body.
2. Food poisoning
There are a lot of food that spoils faster than others especially on hot occasions. Try to be careful on what you eat to avoid any kind of food poisoning and complications in your stomach.

"The rule of thumb is that no food should be left out for four total hours," says Amy Goodson, RD, a dietitian at Ben Hogan Sports Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. "This refers to not just four hours at a time, but four accumulated hours."
Most food the spoils fast are vegetables, fruits, meat, anything with tomatoes, creamy food like pasta and a lot more.
If you believe it no longer smells or taste right or it had been exposed too long, then better trash it and don't risk getting sick.
Try to pack things in sealed containers and put your refrigerators in max temperature to avoid spoilage inside.
3. Skin and hair dryness
Our skin and hair is sensitive to high temperature, they beak and dry out. It may even be painful at times. We also develop rashes and itch due to the sweat and pollution around.
Make sure to be hydrated, keep hydrating lotions, sunscreen, umbrellas, skin rashes/itch ointment and hair mouse in your purse or bag not only for women but even for men. It may develop or worsen dandruff as well due to the drier scalp.
Make sure to apply some lip balm as well or sure lipstick with moisturizers.
4. Eye infections/ strains
Our eyes just like our skin and hair needs protection as well. These are the time we are more prone to eye allergies, dry eyes and even eye infections. Just like the bacteria in spoiled food bacteria in encounters by our eyes tends to thrive as well at these hot months.
To prevent these always wear sunglasses with UV protection and keep in hand some eye drops. Freshen your eyes by regularly washing them in clean cold water to relive it form heat. Also get proper and enough sleep.
5. Pet neglect
Having a pet is like having children. They need to be taken care of. As this hot season please be responsible enough to keep them indoors as the hot cement may burn their paws and they may also suffer from heat stoke. Also always leave them with accessible drinking water, no one wants to be dehydrated.
Also never ever leave them in hot cars. If you don't have a pet leaving some water outside may save a stray animal or some birds flying by. Please be kind and sensitive to the animals as well.

Very informative post you have here @robiney, we really need to take care of ourselves as we go to vacations or even as we go to work. The hot and cold weather will make us more prone to sickness. Anyways, Just got back in here. Hope to see your posts!
