My last post related an incident that happened at work last week. I helped create a special HIPAA compliance tool called HIPAAgps, and my CEO sent an email to me and a couple others stating that he was pulling me off the project. I was terribly hurt and sad, because that project is my baby.
The nest day I spoke with my manager and told her how upset I was. She said she would try to talk to our CEO about it, but no guarantees. Late that night, right before going to bed, my manager emailed me saying that I am able to work 1.5 hours a week on it. I usually don't spend much more than that each week, so I was really happy with the news.
I now have to be careful to track my time and not go over that, but I can continue supporting the project.
So for now, I'm still on it. What I could really use is a huge influx of people purchasing our product. It would make my CEO happy and justify my work.
