Status Update 1/12/2018

Hey all, wanted to provide a quick update on the HealthHeart project. Not much has changed, honestly, so this will be short and sweet.

The Company

With some of the crowdsale proceeds, we paid off all our outstanding debt. Put a pretty big dent in our funds, but being debt-free was immensely more important to us. Marketing and legal advice for a crowdsale is pricey, and I intend to break the costs out further in a later post.

Tokens are still scheduled to be released on February 1st. Things are going smoother than we expected, so we're actually hoping to distribute them earlier. Keep an eye on our Twitter for more details.

We are also bringing on one new advisor to our medical advisory board. We're signing the last of the NDAs now, so we'll be adding her to the website shortly. Keep an eye out for that as well.

Jennifer's title also has changed from Chief Medical Consultant to Chief Medical Officer. We just felt that Officer sounded better than Consultant at this point.

Chun Hou's contract is officially over, so he's no longer managing social media for the company. He did a wonderful job with it, and we hope to work with him again soon!

No news on the renaming or website design, but we have shut down most extra social media at this point.

The Product

We had a chat with the Indian development shop last Friday to hammer down more specific details on the product. We were supposed to have a call with one of the lead developers to discuss more technical specifics, but he had to cancel. We are currently waiting on an initial proposal draft and cost estimate. Their initial guess is that full development from now until completion will cost in the mid- to high five figures. Honestly, this was much pricier than we expected, so we're considering using independent freelancers to assist, rather than a full-featured company. We're still figuring out which site is best for hiring people, but we may start with Upwork. The biggest hurdle we're encountering is the GUI, what people interact with. That's probably going to be the biggest cost sink, but of course, it's the one piece of the program I don't want to do myself, so go figure ...

That's it for now. Feel free to reach out by email or Twitter if you have any more questions.
