How frequent sitting down for too long can kill you

Quite number of people are victims of sitting down in a particular place for too long. Either due to the nature of their job or perhaps they might be on a sit for a long distance journey.

Notwithstanding, frequently sitting down in a place for too Long has been medically proven to be dangerous to our health and might decrease our life span.

Those who are guilt of this, might as well consider hitting the gym/fitness center on a regular basis.


Dangers of frequent sitting in a place for too long;



(1). Slow and improper digestion

You might be surprised to know that sitting down in a place for too long can adversely affect your digestive system by compressing the abdominals chamber which can lead to disruption of the normal flow of blood, thereby slowing down the the proper breaking down of food. It is also one of the contributing factor of constipation, bloating and clamping.


(2.) Poor Blood circulation

Healthy blood circulation is paramount in achieving the ultimate health by supplying our organs and tissues with freshly oxygenated blood and nutrients from the tip of the head, then fingers, and all the way down to the toes.

Any kind of obstruction or congestion in the faultlessly tuned roadmap of veins and arteries can deprive heart, lungs, brains, extremities and other organs of the body the precious oxygen rich blood and can lead to a host of other medical conditions.

Your legs and glutes can also become weakened from frequent sitting in a place for too long. Which can eventually lead to muscle degeneration. A case where the muscle begins to waste away.

One of the contributing factor to poor blood circulation is absence of regular body exercise.
among others includes; poor lifestyle poor diet and smoking.

To avoid this; get rid of the habit of sitting down in a place for too long. Even if your job permits that, endeavor to create time and exercise your body, about 60 minutes daily. This in a great way will improve your overall health condition,by encouraging a healthy blood circulation.


(3). Back pain

You are creating a problem for your back by Sitting down in a place for too long. The reason for that constant Back ache might be as a result of sitting in a place for long time.
