Your lifestyle is the biggest contributor to your health. You may be living a happy life with no health issues or you might be in some serious health troubles, either way, it is mostly because of your lifestyle. The solutions to most problems exist in the personal decisions we make every day.

By altering your lifestyle, you can turn your possible teary moments into smiling and happy moments. The same goes for keeping the heart healthy. It is no secret that cardiovascular-related diseases are the biggest killers in every part of the world and that's due to weak heart and related diseases like strokes, heart attacks, and embolisms.

It was a bit shocking to find out that there are some easy ways to keep your heart healthy. You won't even need to visit the doctor too often (only if you're not suffering from any of such diseases already). In this article, we'll discuss some of the ways to keep the heart healthy. Prevention is always easier than finding a cure.

1 - Laughter

A good laugh is only possible when you're truly happy with something. Simply laughing at irrelevant things don't count. Laughter is the best medicine for most diseases because it shows that you're happy with your life. You can interact often with people instead of thinking about your disease.

It's proven that hardening of arteries is one of the biggest reasons for cardiovascular-related diseases. When you laugh, your blood flow rate gets boosted and helps in preventing the hardening of your arteries which ultimately helps keep your heart healthy and lowers the risk of heart-related diseases.

2 - A meaningful social life

In order to keep your heart healthy, you must have a good social life. Keeping yourself in your house and not going outside makes you feel worse, which may result in high blood pressure and stress due to thinking too much. If you confine yourself to your home, you'll likely experience more stress and depression, two things that increase the risk of heart disease.

It is important to go outside at least once a day and meet with friends. Interaction with people usually reduces existing stress and depression, normalizes your blood pressure, and helps in the release of some endorphins that are beneficial in keeping the heart healthy.

3 - 8 hours of sleep

You may have noticed that most diseases (including heart disease) are somehow connected with the sleep issues. A sleep disorder usually results in stress and depression and that's why it is important to treat it as soon as possible. However, many people don't get enough sleep. People have formed the habit of going to sleep late at night and waking up early for work.

Preparation of your schedule is most important and that planning is how you will be able to get eight hours of sleep every day. Once you start sleeping for 8 hours consistently, the stress and depression will decrease automatically, and your blood pressure will remain at a normal level. By sleeping, you actually give your body a chance to rest and detoxify itself. Sleep also helps in preventing the build-up of calcium in arteries (which contributes to heart-related diseases).

I believe that these are the easiest ways to lower the risk of heart disease and keep your heart healthy. If you're doing the mentioned things already, then add exercising and yoga into your daily routine. It will be helpful not only in keeping the heart healthy but also in keeping you healthy overall.

Really nice, even the food we eat can affect our health, as you've rightly said our social life even includes exercising, talking and relating with people, ofcourse, if you keep your mouth close for a long period of time, it smells, showing we should talk with people.
Another thing is don't always get yourself worked up, in whatever situation, always keep calm, and ofcourse avoid anger, because all of this has an eventual effect on our health.once again, i say nice piece.

This is very educative post. Though I don't socialize so much, I do stuffs that keep my mind too busy to think anything. The hours of sleep varies with individual. For me, if I do not get at least 6hrs of sleep, it affects me so much that I may not be effiicient the whole day.

Well said @communitycoin. Most of us don't watch our health habits until it deteriorats...

I'll need to watch out for the 8 hours sleep mark. I have been doing about half of that daily for a while now

Enlightening and educating.
