Fitness watches and Fitness bands are all the craze now. Leave alone the common ones like Fitbit or Garmin - now even big brand companies like Skagen, Huawei and Samsung have jumped into this bandwagon.
Lately we've also seen a few other newcomers try their luck with their own offerings, for example, the Moov (which is hear is pretty good) and Polar. All these devices carry different levels of functionalities but one of the most common one is the heart rate monitor. This feature is self-explanatory, it's a feature that allows anyone to measure his or her heart rate in real time, and everyone from fitness junkies to office workers have found some usefulness to it.
But heart rate monitors aren’t always accurate because they don't say much about the heart rhythm which is what diagnoses heart conditions. HeartBit is offering something much more functional and effective. This offering has earned them global recognition and few prestigious awards too, like the being top 10 at the European American Pitch Awards competition 2017 (CES).
With the help of Blockchain, Machine learning and a ton of algorithms, HeartBit is offering a modern ECG monitoring device that doesn't just keep track of the heart during everyday activities, it's also powerful enough to alert you of any issues or irregularities that may be surfacing. If you watched the Apple event 2018, then you noticed they announced an Electrocardiogram (ECG) feature that's coming to their Apple Watch.
By utilizing electrodes that have been placed on the back of the watch. Placing your finger on the digital crown closed a loop that will in turn generate an ECG waveform.
When you visit a doctor's office, to get an ECG carried out, they would need to link you up to an ECG machine, they do this with 12 wires and once complete a snapshot will be revealed showing you the electric activity going on in your chest. This test is standard, and it's called the 12-lead ECG, which essentially means it records cardio activity from many locations thus giving you 12 different views of your heart.
USP.
The Apple watch has a 1-lead ECG meaning it will show you just one view. The HeartBit ECG is unique because even though their devices are packed into the same compact body as the Apple watch they still manage to provide a 3-lead ECG reading. The HeartBit is extremely accurate with monitoring the heart's movements, assessing up to 1500 times more signals than the other activity trackers on the market and it doesn't just stop there, HeartBit also takes really high-frequency measurements, up to 2000 Hz per electrode which translates to just about 6,000 data points per second. This is very impressive especially considering most devices from other competitors measure just one to two data points per second.
Your Smart Trainer.
But just like the Apple watch, the HeartBit fitness top isn't just a one trick pony. It's the entire package. For example the device is smart enough to create a personalized fitness or activity plan that based on your profile just as any fitness trainer would, it's machine learning technologies and risk analysis algorithms will crunch up specific user data such as how the user is built, any medicines he or she may be taking, age, even their medical background.
This technology is capable of diagnosing ischemia, an inadequate blood supply to the heart muscles, and immediately notifying the user before the situation escalates to cardiac arrest or death. This measurement system is made possible by an EASI lead system.
Great for health-conscious individuals.
Sometimes it can get quite difficult trying to live healthily, the air we breathe in has its fair levels of pollution, our busy schedules almost always means we must eat out all the time. Sometimes living in this fast-paced life, the best way to extend your life is by working out or at least maintaining an active lifestyle, but sometimes this can be tough too.
Most times it can get quite difficult trying to even find the exercise to do.
HeartBit can help, though a feature called smart training that basically creates a training strategy that’s based on an intelligent regulation system to ensure you're never exerting yourself with any exercises you do. This is only made possible by the data the system collects during your everyday lives.
Speaking of data tracking, other than creating a customized training schedule, the progress that is logged allows for something i personally love. The HeartBit rewards program. This is basically where users are encouraged to live a healthier life and if they do they earn HBIT tokens which are donated to the HeartBit reward pool as rewards. I honestly can't think of a greater motivation of working out than getting paid.
Useful links.
The HeartBit is currently awaiting FDA approval, and you want to get in early because once they get cleared the price of HBIT may soar. To learn more about the company and their upcoming token sale.
