God moves hearts: In the LORD's hand the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him

The Bible shows us how throughout the history of the chosen people God moves the hearts of men and especially the kings, to carry out his providential design. That is why the Bible advises us that we should always pray for God to inspire rulers: "In the LORD's hand the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him" Proverbs 21:1.
When Moses is called by God to free the Israelites from captivity in Egypt, God hardens Pharaoh's heart: "But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt" Exodus 7:3.
By hardening Pharaoh's heart, God demonstrated his great power against the most powerful country in the world at that time with the seven plagues, and confirmed Moses as the liberating leader of his people.
When King Solomon receives his Kingdom from his father David, God provides the new King with a wise and understanding heart for the glory of Israel and the house of David: "I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be" 1 Kings 3:12.
King Solomon with his intelligence led the Kingdom of Israel to its maximum extent and power throughout its history, bringing happiness and joy to all his people, who saw in him the ability to establish divine justice.
The same thing also happens with King Nebuchadnezzar who was punished by God for his arrogance, only when the King changed his heart, God freed him from his curse, after which the King of Babylon declared: "Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble" Daniel 4:37.
God moves hearts so that we understand the importance, not of simple faith, but of trust in the Lord that is adult faith.
