Trumpets and Shouts!

That's what it's all abouts. It is Yom Teruah as of the new moon.

I have been enjoying another day of rest as I watch the festivities in Israel at the wall. There are trumpet blasts and singing late into the night as the Mitzvah (command) to blow the Shofar is put into practice this evening.

Have a blessed day!

If you have ever wanted to yell at the Creator, today is the day.

That is not the purpose but you can yell, as a matter of fact it is commanded.

So the Yom Teruah is the full moon? And that's why there is festivities in Isreal? Wow that's cool looking at all those visuals. The Shofar is it like a trumpet or a flute? Enjoy your celebrations @hebrew and have fun.

No. Out of all of the divine appointments (Moedim) that the Creator gave to Israel, this is the only one that starts at the sighting of the new moon.

That means if it is cloudy the hodiday starts the next day.

Wow okay thanks for clearing and clarifying that one for me, have an amazing day @hebrew

Day screaming. What an interesting celebration.

Bless the Most High, the God of Israel and all the earth! The king is coming!

Psalm 81:1-4
81 Sing aloud to God our strength;
Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob.
2 Raise a song and strike the timbrel,
The pleasant harp with the lute.
3 Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon,
At the full moon, on our solemn feast day.
4 For this is a statute for Israel,
A law of the God of Jacob.

Do you celebrate it for 2 days?

@hebrew,
Rosh Hashanah, literally meaning the "head [of] the year", is the Jewish New Year. The biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah, literally "day of shouting or blasting". - Wiki
