The ancient language of ivrit ( עברית ) Genesis 1 - Part 5

in hebrew •  7 years ago  (edited)

The full study is now on line covering
the Alef - Beyt in detail @hebrew on Steemit.com. The vowels are marked in this bible and are designed to help avoid confusion on what a word is and how it is pronounced, as if there is not already enough of that in the interpretations globally. In modern spoken Hebrew, only children need the niqqud until they have the pronunciation memorized.

dry ground

Last reading we left off with creation, the end of day two.

Today's video covers part of the third day as dry land appears. In many languages, things have gender as well as people and animals. In this case the dry land is a her. Also notice that the verb usually come before the subject (person doing the action). That is part of learning to think in a new language.

Another note:

In this reading the word ma-kome appears which means "place". Keep this one on hand as your vocabulary grows because it appears many times.

I can actually start to read this now. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this information. Circling the letters like that really makes it clear.

Thanks for taking your time to teach us sir!

I went further to learning numbers , here we go :
Number one is 'atash' and Number four is 'abela'.
How did I do?
I like the Hebrew language and would encourage my friends to learn it because I think ;

  • When speaking it , you feel a sense of pride and belonging like you are connected to God himself.

  • It died and came back to life and now is being spoken widely as though people were just waiting for it. Now how many languages do that?

  • Many common and powerful names evolved from the Hebrew language and so to understanding Hebrew will help you know what it means.

  • I also think that the Israelites that speak it are confident yet humble.

אני אוהב ללמוד עברית.

it's little hard for me but I'm trying my best. Let's continue please sir.

Cuantas Vocales son? En español son cinco, en el hebreo son las misma cinco??

En general podes leer bien con los cinco. Los nativos dicen que una vocal esta pronunciada mas larga y otra mas corta. En español esan asi tambien. Pero no se marca la diferencia tanto.

i always find some usefull things from your post. thanks @hebrew keep it up

you are one of the good educators, have the ability in terms of language @hebrew.

This looks difficult for me at first, but with your gentle way of teaching sir @hebrew, I think am getting to know it gradually and now I'm having full interest. You have been a wonderful teacher sir and a great motivator. Thanks a lots

Awwwwwwnnn @Omotara that's lovely to hear.

One of the most cultural treat is to learn other languages than your own. Hebrew is always remained my dream to learn and i am fully convinced that your kind efforts enable me to learn basics of this language @hebrew for which i am REALLY thankful to you <3

It has to be basic in the beginning - we need the foundation to build on in order to get a complete understanding

This is actually a fact based thing; to learn any language properly one must aware of it's grammatical rules and regulation. This thing strengthens the basics of that language. So, i am fully agreed what did you say @hebrew :)

great job.....

a study that eliminates confusion

Good tamim @hebre

just sometimes feel confused when there is no place to ask directly.

I first read about the Hebrew language.

Kalheh ku baca hana kutupu

with the video will reduce confusion.

It's greatest Dtube version of tutorials you introduce @hebrew. Very informative one. I start a follow you and resteemed. I wanna see past tutorials.

Thanks and welcome. You will see at the start, I was teaching what each letter is and what it symbolizes in Hebrew. There are only 22 so it is not so hard to catch up and learn the pronunciation of each.

Glad to see you again with another great lesson!
How are you now?
