Are believers from the nations Gentiles or "former Gentiles"? ✡

What does "Gentile" mean in the New Testament? Somebody who's not Jewish? Pagan? Is it accurate to say you're a Gentile, or is that a dirty word? Why did Yeshua say "let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax-collector"?

This is a takeaway from my newest Hebrew Verses study. We also talked about these questions:
~How was Phoebe a deacon when she wasn't the "husband of one wife"?
~Metathesis and partial assimilation in sibilant pitpaels
~Are believers from the nations Gentiles or former Gentiles?
~How has "church" changed in the last two thousand years?
~Were there more than 12 apostles, and was Junias a female apostle?
