rivers state

The state is located in Nigeria in the West Africa Region and it is known widely as Rivers State or simply called Rivers. It is one of the 36 states of Nigeria and according to the Census which was carried out sometime in 20026, it's population is estimated at 5,198,716.
Now, this makes it the sixth-most populous state in the country and the Capital is also the largest city in it known as Port Harcourt. It is the major station for the Oil Industry in Nigeria and due to this, it is very populated with non-indegenes and foreigners.
The State has a lot of Riverine areas which are always maintained as it shares borders with the Atlantic Ocean in the South, some other states known as, Abia, Imo and Anambra States borders it in the North. A state again known as Akwa Ibom is on the Eastern border and Delta and Bayelsa State is on the West.

It also has a lot of indigenous ethnic groups and has a loving and friendly people who are hardworking. The city is bustling with industries, hotels, Malls, Churches, refineries and other fun places of attraction including the Airport which runs both International and Local Flights.

The city is very beautiful as the present Governor, Nyesom Wike is developing it more with more buildings. Now,when you come to Nigeria, it is among the three best States as the Capital City itself is the major center of attraction.
