As we pray, our hearts open
Like the petals of a flower
In the heart of the Springtime
That the Gods may see us
And make fertile our spirits
Bless us, O Gods!
As we pray, our minds wander
In search of something real
Something true and wonderful
That lies beyond the mundane
And the mortal plane we inhabit
Bless us, O Gods!
As we pray, our bodies sway
Like the waves of the ocean
Or leaves in the breeze
To the music of the divine
And the singing of our spirits
Bless us, O Gods!
As we pray, our souls reach out
Like the hands of an infant
Toward the world she calls mother
For reassurance and companionship
And the love it requires most
Bless us, O Gods!
