Why i can not log in with my owner key?

in help •  8 years ago  (edited)

Today tried to log in with my second account, and received this error: "This login gives owner or active permissions and should not be used here. Please provide a posting only login."

What does this mean, and how do I now access my account?

You obviously have access to your account or you wouldn't be able to post. Owner key login is disabled as it is a security risk. Do not login with owner key. Keeping the owner key offline ensures that if your other keys were somehow compromised you would be able to get them back with the owner key.

Graystone is my common account. But i have another account, and i cant log in it. I sucsessful loggining by owner key in graystone account...

How i can take posting key,if i cant log in by owner key?

This happens when trying to log in using account created by mining. Looks like they use only one private key for every permission. I have no idea how to generate additional keys, perhaps it has something to to with 'update_account' command in cli_tools?
