Some People.....

Most of us try to help others when possible. Of course we all know one or two that say that they want to earn online and want help getting in the right direction. You give them the information, tips and links to what they ask for, but they never really do anything with them. They take no initiative to learn for themselves and after a while they start to ask again for help, but with the same outcome as before. They just want answers to things when they have no real interest in the things that they say they do. They're busy surfing TEs and being social, but you never know what they're promoting and why. They're busy talking in chat, or in a Skype group just making no sense. Personally, I now just ignore my example of an individual that does stuff like this because after over two years there has been no change. I don't feel bad about my decision because the outcome is always the same. What would you do in a position like this?

Every single day. Some ask just to engage with people, I guess. As you said, you can give them the answer and they come right back and ask again.

Totally agree... there are a few I would like to ignore, honestly, but in the present timeframe, I just can't... so I soldier on....

I know a few individuals who fit that scenario. I agree with you and the position you chose to take. I have approached the same situation a bit differently. Now when the individuals ask for information or instructions, I remind them that I already gave them the particular info and refer them back to it. If new info they're asking about, I ask them directly why they want it and what they intend to do with it. That way, when they ask again, I'll remind them that I haven't seen evidence of their use of the previous info and how far along are they if still working on it.

Also, some never think to look for the answer themselves first. And then if they are confused about the process given, ask for clarification. That is what I do when approaching a new project or program. If I missed instructions on the objective, then I'll ask. Also, I click on every menu items, drop down to see exactly what info you can get from them. Then ask for assistance if I can't find something or need further explanation.
