Something to do with Fork 18 I believe. It wasn´t there before and one day, what do you know, there it is!
But hey, if it is bothering too much just transfer all your rewards to me! Sure, everything will be fine....

My guess:

To keep unused/old/lost accounts from accumulating coins.

I too would like to know if they disappear at some point, if you don't claim them.

Good point, so you would assume they go back to the reward pool, but after how long I wonder

I don't see the logic of not redeeming the reward...which gives you even more power to vote....
Your guess makes more sense now...

I am nut sure either but this way you can easily keep track of the total that you get rewarded btween specific timeframes before it is added to your balance. So it does have a use.

Yeah I suppose, but you do have the Rewards dropdown to keep track

I would like to know as well lol

Don't forget to go to your wallet and claim your rewards mate

I have actually wondered the same thing in the past! Maybe they get put into crypto hell after a certain amount of time? lol

they go into a STEEM POWER
Influence tokens which give you more control over post payouts and allow you to earn on curation rewards.

Being new and seeing this for the 1st time I was wondering what it's all about too and what happens when I click it!

So I've clicked it and see the rewards have been added as Steem Dollars. I was wanting to build up Steem Power, so do you know is it best to do this straight away as you earn it or are there exchange fees etc and it's best to wait until you have a larger amount?

Thanks for your post!
