Thank you steemit for the Good times here, this is a Steemful Christmas/end of the year gift to the orphanage home and its our way of "paying it forward to the World".
Giving should be anonymous, but for accountability and trust sake we have done this. We do not intent to flaunt or broadcast the good gesture hence to show our numerous supporters and sponsors from the inception of @steem-lagos that we had put into good use the little resources we have.
It was meant to be a small party/steem get together but we thought to ourselves; "Spending that much on booze and loud music is not a bad idea but giving it all out to those who are dire needs of it sounds more fantastic." So for about a couple of weeks now we have planned this and we are extremely honored to execute this mini-project of putting smiles to the faces of this foster kids.
To every one who grew up with one parent or none would understand the psychological effects of not having a parental love. So we paid a visit to Little saint Orphanage, a foster home managed by Nuns/Reverend Sisters with seven homes across Nigeria; three in Lagos which we visited yesterday 16th December 2017 and the others outside the Big Apple city of West Africa. The team decided to pay our Christmas visit to the Infants and Girls home in Ogudu Lagos State and we planned subsequent visit to the Boys and the Physically challenge Branches in the soonest future.
The entire Team Members had taken the good we have received from God with the help of Steemit Inc. through the Steem/SBD we have gotten from Numerous Upvotes and Supports from this Wonderful Blockchain community and purchased Food items, toiletries and chocolates as gifts to this precious little ones. We are sorry as we could not proceed with the proposed meet-up as we had used all the resources available for a more justifiable cause.
