My, how time flies...

Another 365 days has passed with our very own @helpie community reaching ONE YEAR OLD!

So much has happened...

Many moons ago, while eating cake, @ankapolo and @meno discussed the needs of people. And without knowing what the future held, secretly purchased the account @helpie. They sneakily compiled a group of insanely helpful individuals, convincing them that firstly, people need help and secondly, they need cake... and finally, that THEY were the ones to do the helping.

Without hesitation many joined, knowing that the quest was true; that only with the help of others may we all succeed.

Days and weeks passed, then months. And before you could say 'cake', the community had grown into a loving, albeit nutty and slightly dysfunctional, family. (Whom I'm not gonna tag cause I'd be here FOREVER. You know who you are. 😎)

Every single day we are learning more about each other and helping when we can, and getting a little where we need. We're not perfect. Who is? But, together we can get a little bit closer.

Helpie is a new and unique educational community within STEEMIT, designed to help users that are creating quality content grow on the platform. We do this through a variety of ways including:

• Lessons designed to help users navigate the Steemit Network and teach them how to get the most out of it. (ex. GINAbot Tutorial, Growing Your Following On Steemit, and Markdown Challenge)

• Daily STEEMIT related trivia and contests (what?! Party!🤩)

• Mentorship from established STEEMIT users in all different categories (so good😎)

• Providing a place to discuss ideas, collaborate with other members and build your personal community (and cake 😍)

• Daily upvote from the @Helpie account for members

• Weekly Curation of great quality content

Helpie is an invite-only community, but anyone can participate in the daily trivia questions. You don't even have to up-vote Helpie’s posts to participate. Just do it and get rewards. This initiative is not a vote for vote operation, it’s meant as an educational tool only. Thank you for respecting that.

If you would like to be considered to join Helpie as a minnow in training, please pop in the PALnet/MSP DISCORD and start participating over there. We have scouts constantly looking for the right minnows to support, and they will reach out with a private invitation.

One Last Thing

Helpie recently started it's VERY OWN WITNESS!! OMG! I know! I'm excited too! Fun fact: When I was recording this initially, we were sitting at #62. Then I updated it a little ... to #58. Now?!?! We are already #55! Yeah, baby!
