India's golden daughter, Hima Das

Hema Das, 18 years old innocent girl from the small village of Assam, has enhanced the country's glory by winning the gold medal in the 400 meters race of the IAAF World U-20 Athletics Championship.
In this event, the country has received gold medal for the first time. Hima has won gold in the World Track event for the first time in all sections of Women, Men, Junior, Senior, also in record time of 51.46 sec.
Hima has done what no Indian has ever done.
Hima is from Kandulimari village near Dhing of Nagaon district of Assam. Her father Ranjit Das and mother Jomali cultivate rice. Hima coming from a very poor family is the eldest of six siblings. Hima has achieved this success by defeating all the difficulties.
